The best extracurricular activities at Lakeville North are Track and Field, Cross Country, and Speech. Track and Field is the most popular of the three, as it has the same sense of community that Cross Country possesses, but not the grueling distances that it Cross Country running requires. Speech is probably my favorite, due to the interesting people that participate in the activity.

The three mos popular extracurricular activities at Lakeville North are DECA, Speech and Best Buddies. I would personally recommend DECA and Best Buddies to any students, specially to those that may be new or are just entering their freshamn year. DECA is a business marketing club where students get to compete in real life professional scenarios such as, job interviews with a judge while the student pretends, learns and enhances their ability to naturally communicate which will later benefit them when time comes for them to apply for an actual job. DECA is one of those clubs where almost every little thing is beneficial to your future and or useful for your future. Best Buddies is a club where students get partnered up with students with special needs. Here, they hold lots of events to help include these kids with special needs and enjoy spending time with students that they are not able to sit with and on or converse with on a daily basis. This gives the special needs students at Lakeville North the perspective that they are, after all just like everyone else in the school.
