"Typical" is a a difficult word to use to when describing a student from the University of Arizona. Attendees come from all over in order to study at our school. The student body is composed of Arizona residents, out of state students, and even international students! Being that everyone has a different background, they are different in their personalities as well. The subjects that a student can major in at this university varies so much that some students could possibly never meet students of a different major if it weren't for the Student union, sororities and fraternities, clubs, and mutual friends. Although every student differs, we are alike in the fact that we share the same school pride. No matter the fact that we could have come from rival high schools, if we were to sit next to one another at a Wildcats footballs game, we share the same love and support for our school. Our school motto, often heard at a Wildcats sporting event, is "Bear Down". Meaning, we should try our hardest at what we do, whether it be in sports, academics, or other areas in life. Students at the University of Arizona spend sleepless nights in the library, they wake up early to go to the gym, and work to help pay bills and loans; all while attending classes. That is an example of how one can "bear down".
These are the people that should attend our school. If one has the motivation to be better, they belong at the University of Arizona. "Better" could be a variety of things, including: more well rounded, living a healthier lifestyle while attending classes, being involved in the community during and after school, etc. The thing that all students at the University of Arizona have in common is the fact that we are attending the school in hopes of graduating and continuing for a better tomorrow.
