Student, Inland Lakes High School, Class of 2016,
At my school, football, basketball, and key club are the most popular extracurricular activities. However, there are numerous other extracurriculars worthy of participation. Academic clubs such as robotics and debate are not only award-winning at my school, but great ways to develop life skills and advance intellectual abilities. Sports at Inland Lakes, like at any school, teach us critical life skills: time management, teamwork, communication, and leadership. At the end of every year, students interested in joining student council participate in elections to be involved in school activities the following year. The winners are rewarded with the ability to create events for the school. Out of the three extracurricular activities, I would recommend joining a club. Doing so would get students involved in fun activities and meet others who like the same topic based on what club they join.
