I don't believe there is just one type of student who attends the University of Michigan - Flint. The student body here is very diverse. The students are from all sorts of backgrounds, have diverse life experience, and are pursuing one of many diverse majors offered in the program. The most common theme I have seen is a commitment to school work and social experiences.

The University of Michigan-Flint is an ideal school for students that want the rigors of top professors and academics, but without the price tag. Ultimately, it is not uncommon for students to attend the University of Michigan-Flint with the goal of advancing to graduate school, while knowing that it won't have the same social opportunities as Ann Arbor or East Lansing.
