I am convinced that there is no typical Roosevelt student! Roosevelt is entirely diverse in style, race, look, etc. when it comes to the students! The type of person who should go to Roosevelt is someone who is looking for a good education and maybe for the social justice mission that Roosevelt carries!

Most students are pretty relaxed and open-minded. The school is in downtown Chicago, so if you like diversity and want to meet all types of people, this is a good school for you. The campus is fast-paced and exciting.

Roosevelt University is diverse. I realize that many students will say this, but it's true. Almost a quarter of our student body is international students. The main reason, however, that students would attend Roosevelt University are people that wish to see a change in the world. I attend a school that supports standing up for what they believe in. Our Greek life does more public service than I could ever hope for in a school. We have a student activist club that has reached so many goals with politicians to change how things happen in this country. I am proud to say that I am from Roosevelt University because my dreams of changing this country might actually come true.

Young, with drive and ambition to learn. Progressive ideals are good, but not necessary. Also, considering Chicago's climate, a RU student needs to be able to handle cold winter weather.

Most Roosevelt Students are very outgoing, open to new things, and active in their community. Being in downtown Chicago, there is so much to be involved in which gives more opportunities for Roosevelt students to experience new things and become more active around the Chicago area. So many students are not only students, but are active around the community learning and passing along information to people about how we can help each other and society.

A typical student at Roosevelt is like any other student at college. We take pride in our school and we like to do normal things like shopping, texting or even hanging out with friends.

A typical Roosevelt University student is someone who believes in the fight for social justice and social equality. I would say that a student at Roosevelt University is not exactly interested in fraternities or sororities, but they enjoy being with each other and establishing friendships. The type of person who would be attracted to Roosevelt University would be the type of person who loves and appreciates diversity as this university is a great place to be a student at.

The student body is diverse. It includes everyone from the traditional recent high school graduate to the adult who may want to pursue or finish their education after taking some time off, to the person looking for a career change after navigating the job market already.

I'm in the Music Conservatory of Chicago College of Performing Arts' (CCPA) at Roosevelt University. The typical student attending CCPA loves music and can't imagine living without it. We are strong in body and in mind because we have to endure long days attending our classes and after school rehearsals for our many performances. We are also fun and don't take ourselves too seriously because we have to be able to take constructive criticism and take corrections from the teaching staff. Therefore we are incredible flexible and good natured.

The beauty of it is that there is not typical student at Roosevelt. It seemed like just a generic university to me but over the last year I've found it to have diversity of many types, which all culminates to make it the interesting university it is.

Thankfully, there is no "typical Roosevelt University student!" There is every type of student here from athlete business majors, to performing arts students, to science geniuses and future doctors, to first-generation students, and middle-aged adults working towards a higher degree. One thing RU states is that we are a community of individuals; at first, this statement made little sense in my mind, I thought it meant selfish students who all happen to go to the same buildings for classes. I could not have been more wrong! This school emphasizes the importance of remaining an individual while working together with others to build each other up and accomplish goals by honing in on each other's strengths. The importance of diversity cannot be emphasized enough, and Roosevelt supplies this by welcoming all sorts of students so that there is no cookie-cutter Rooseveltian. I personally have experienced maturation in how I interact with others and a continuously broadening worldview because of the different people I have been exposed to. I am proud to attend a university that is notably recognized as a top diverse school in the United States. With all that being said, any type of person seriously pursuing a degree should attend RU; the only thing that could potentially hold someone back from it would be if they aren't a city person.

Roosevelt has pretty much every student you can think of because of the wide range in majors. There is CCPA for all interested in music and preforming arts, Hospitality for those that are all about helping others, education for those that want to teach, and many more. Roosevelt is a criminal justice school as well.

Roosevelt University is such a diverse academic community that there is no such thing as a "typical" Roosevelt student. Everyone you meet at Roosevelt University has their own, very unique background story. Obviously this is true to everyone, however, the welcoming atmosphere that embraces everyone's uniqueness is what makes Roosevelt University so special. Despite the fact that there is no "typical" student at Roosevelt University, we all have something in common: We all want to change the world with social justice and simply doing the right thing.
