At the University of South Florida located in St. Petersburg, students enjoy sailing, working out a sweat at the gym, and swimming in our new pool. Sailing courses are offered every fall semester and the crew consists of 16 sailboats that have access to Tampa bay through our backyard of Bayboro. Also a new gym has been installed that includes machines that generate electricity for the campus instead of consuming it. Many of us students enjoy our time here when we have a break from classes. Also, a 10 feet deep pool has been installed at the back of the campus and students, faculty, and the public are welcome in this sunny escape.

There are plenty of fun and cool things you can do as a USFSP student, here are three things out of many that I would recommend. For example, you can receive free canoe and kayaking lessons at the waterfront which is a 100 foot pool on campus with free access. If you are into art, the Salvador Dali Museum is within walking distance from campus and it is also free to USFSP students who only need to show their ID card. Last but not least, for only $39 and if you are the adventurous type, you can get a helicopter ride to show you the scenic views of St. Petersburg. It is located at the Albert Whitted Airport which is located right across the street from campus! There is always plenty to do here as a student!

To have fun in St. Petersburg, students either go to Muvico five blocks away, go to the Pier or hang out in the pool

At USFSP, there are a lot of things to do for fun. The best thing to do for fun is to rent a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard down at the waterfront. There's a lot of stuff to do in DTSP so sometimes just walking around downtown and exploring is fun. Since we live in florida, going to the beach is usually fun too.

The first thing we do is go kayaking in Tampa Bay. We go right out of our own docks. This provides exercise along with an outdoor experience with friends. The second thing is swimming in the pool on campus. It’s local and free for students. Nothing is better than free for us college students. The last thing is exploring the city of Saint Petersburg. It has sights to see such as the Dali museum, the pier, many food places, and many galleries. There is something for everyone here for any price.

The number one thing that students do for fun would have to be attending any of the campus's numerous events in which they host for students, such as playing movies in the middle of the campus courtyard. Another activity in which students do for fun is going to Busch Gardens which is located very close to the university and offers a large discount to any college students. The last of the top three activities which students do for fun is going to one of the great beaches that are located close to the campuses in the Tampa and St. Petersburg campuses.
