There is no "average joe" of RHS. A plethora of students encapsulate RHS, thousands flocking everywhere around the campus. The diversity within RHS is grand and, quite frankly, there is no description of anyone who should attend RHS. Everyone is welcome, and since the population is huge, new students will surely find a niche to fit into someplace and somewhere.

Redlands High School has built its reputation mainly on an academic premise. Not only that, but we are also known regionally, and in some cases nationally, for our athletic and artistic groups. It is safe to assume that the average student would be likely to have an active stance in the school as well as be able to hold his grades.

A typical RHS student scoffs as if to say "Duh, I already knew that" when the assistant principal frenziedly fails her arms, proudly announcing that "our school has once again beat all of the other schools in the district!" This is old news to the everyday, average RHS student who nonchalantly nods off our school's impressive achievement and prestige. RHS students are the brightest intellectuals whom I have had the privilege of procrastinating- oops, I mean studying intensely- with for the past four years of my high school career. All jokes aside, RHS students are capable, reliable, intelligent, witty, and unique individuals who break the mold in other aspects of life from school to sports to community service to arts.

A typical student from my school is simultaneously challenging and open. Student athletes are a majority of the campus, and their well-roundedness extends into other personal capabilites, such as through music, leadership, and academic success. Even though competition is in the air, students are more kind than not, and are willing to have newcomers as friends. Many of my own friends frequent several lunch sites, visiting the different groups that they were welcomed into. The soft atmosphere has proved to be the perfect atmosphere of motivated learning, but still forging lasting relationships.
