Anyone student seeking a quality education and a warm Christian environment should attend Liberty University. The opportunities here are incredible in every aspect. Academically, there are excellent programs for education, nursing, engineering, music, and many other majors. Our aviation program is one of the best in the nation. Socially, Liberty feels like a small school, despite its large student body and extensive campus. The community on each dorm hall, in prayer groups, and in smaller major-focused classes fosters a tight-knit Christian support system. Most importantly, there are ample opportunities for spiritual growth and development. The entire residential community attending Liberty gathers together three times a week for Convocation, where we worship and hear from distinguished speakers who encourage us to discuss and establish our ideas. From pastors to missionaries to businessmen to politicians, Liberty students are exposed to hundreds of ideas and perspectives from the stage of the Vines Center. Every Wednesday night, Liberty hosts Campus Community, a Bible study which starts with worship and welcomes not only students, but members of the Lynchburg community. After Campus Community, every dorm hall on campus breaks into prayer and life groups, where they dive into the Word in a more intimate setting, where Christian support and accountability becomes tangible and meaningful. Furthermore, Liberty is committed to making a positive impact in the community around it. Every student is required to complete twenty hours of community service every semester in order to graduate. With so many hours of dedicated service, Liberty students change the atmosphere in Lynchburg and around the world. Because of the character Liberty University fosters in each of its students, Liberty graduates are likely to receive job offers in areas where Liberty is well-known. Between the opportunities and relationships Liberty has to offer, the school is an excellent place for any student striving to reach their greatest potential.
