At my high school, sports and clubs are the craze. Of the hundred extracurricular activities offered, my fellow peers tend to gravitate towards playing a varsity sport, joining a foreign language club, or joining a student led community service organization. During my time in high school, I have been involved with all of the above activities. Of them all, I would recommend for students to join a community service club such as Key Club or National Honor Society. The experience of helping others can be truly rewarding for those who dedicate their time and effort. While I have been a member of both of these clubs, I have also been an officer. By being an officer, I am gaining knowledge on how to effectively lead an organization and I am learning how to work well with my fellow officers. At my school, I would also recommend joining a sports team, specifically volleyball. The head coach at my school teaches her team how to become better players, as well as better individuals. The entire volleyball program has kindhearted coaches and players that create a fun environment, while also being one of the top teams in the state. I would highly recommend the volleyball program or another sports program at our school.
