A lot of students join groups to meet new people that are in your classes, and that live near you. Students also participate in fundraising. Many times there are news letters set out especially when there is a fellow classmate that needs financial help, and fundraising will be done for that individuals family. Students also enjoy getting together with there friends to form study groups as well.

Majority of college students at the Warwick campus in which I attend go to sporting events, theater and arts nights, and across the street is the Warwick mall where many students go to socialize, eat food, and watch movies at the cinema.

One of the best parts of Community College of Rhode Island, or CCRI as we call it, is that there are four campuses spread out throughout the state. In so being, there is so much to do. For example, if you go to the New Port Campus your near the water and are able to study and relax with the breeze of the day on waterfronts. In Liston campus your smack in the city of Providence, meaning you can literally go out and hang around some amazing places, while studying, eating, and conversing with fellow students. Lastly some of the most amazing things you can do is simply support our teams, actors, singers during spotlight performances and support fellow students aspiring to achieve their goals. We are a small community but we are all one.

It is always fun to socialize between classes and go out to either breakfast or lunch; we study together between classes to be more productive and prepared. It is always better to have a study partner.

At the Community College of Rhode Island, there are many clubs for students to join. For example, some join the French Club which offers students a chance to study abroad in France. Also, there is the Psychology Club for students who are interested in or major in Psychology. One of the most fun days of the semester is during finals week when the cafeteria gets turned into a "fun house." This consists of a bull riding machine, a velcro wall, and many other fun activities. Lastly, in the student lounge area, a television is set up where students bring gaming systems to have fun and interact with each other.

In my time at The Community College of Rhode Island, I have had a lot of opportunities to observe the students. Most students know each other considering how small the state is. They either went to high school together, know each other from work or grew up together. Therefore, students love to chat! I see students hanging out everywhere. Students at CCRI also like to participate in student government activities. Every so often, the student government throws pizza parties, buffets or puts on small activities for a good cause. Music is also popular. Every time I go to class I see students with headphones on and they really seem to enjoy the music they are listening to--a hobby in itself.
