I can admit, when I first met the modest building of Mayde Creek High School, I was less than impressed. I had just moved from overseas, so I was hit by an overwhelming wave of culture shock. Mayde Creek seemed to the soothe that surprise, though. The diversity is refreshing and the amount of things to do is tremendous. There are always going to be better schools, but you can really make a memorable home at this high school. I would definitely recommend Mayde Creek to those who are looking for a school with a strong curriculum and a great sense of spirit.

As a student attending Mayde Creek High School I have had many good and not so great experiences much like every other high school student. In my district of KatyISD, Mayde Creek, is on the lower edge academically and financially compared to the other six high schools. Although we, as a school, are looked down upon because of our "lower class" social status and our football program has not been successful in years, Mayde Creek has so much more important values and opportunities to offer. Thanks to Mayde Creek High School I have been able to achieve a 4.0 GPA, been educated and been offered a wide variety of AP courses with great teachers. Thanks to Mayde Creek's opportunity's I am currently interning at Shell Oil and Gas company as a BP Student learning and experiencing how a billion dollar industry and billion dollar company is run. Thanks to Mayde Creek I have been able to experience many different cultures and backgrounds, which have ultimately further opened my mind. Thanks to Mayde Creek I have learned that life isn't always easy and to be successful I must work hard and be determined. Finally and most importantly I have learned from Mayde Creek to appreciate life, education, and all the blessings that have been given to me because I know that I am very fortunate to be where I am and Mayde Creek taught me not to take that for granted. From my experience I would recommend attending Mayde Creek High School.
