There is no such thing as a typical CLC student. We have students that range in age from 18 to over 80, of every type of background possible. Those who should attend CLC are any person interested in learning in a friendly atmosphere with small class sizes and affordable tuition.

One thing that definitely connects our diverse population is #Ambition. The ambitious student is the one who attends CLC because no matter their age or ethnicity they're usually working outside of school or taking care of family or both and still trying to attend school.

As a Community College with a lot of school pride most students show the team and the school their support. There is rarely anyone who misses out on activities around the school. The type of person that should attend the community college I go to should be open minded and even if they don't want to attend an activity they should at least experience it once.

Every student at this college is different and I've met people in this college of all races and ages. Since I am in night classes, I tend to see a lot of full time working parents. I always enjoy seeing how motivated they are to continue their education even after having kids. Any one can attend College of Lake County.

Many of us, attend CLC to finish basic or general classes and then attend universities to achieve our bachelor's. This helps us save a lot of money.

There is no typical College of Lake County student and that is what I love about it. We are all different ages, cultures, and people coming together to strive for one purpose. In my chemistry study group, we range in age from 21 to 44. We have mothers, people who still live with their parents, people starting over, people taking gen eds, etc It is such a mosaic of different ideologies and that is who should attend College of Lake County.
