Wind down at the gym or basketball court, get together in the Cafeteria to discuss class or to relieve stress after an exam or hiking through several trails that surround the college.

The clubs are very interactive and unique to every individual. There are trips to Boston, Salem and New york that everyone loves. There are also many on campus activities such as, talent shows, plays, musical performances and much more.

The first thing I would assume people at HCC do for fun is go to the cafeteria with their friends and get some food together. Another thing I have seen people do is play a game of frisbee golf because there are nets set up around the campus. The last thing I can think of is going to the Holyoke mall which is only a few miles away and I have had fellow students tell me that they go to the mall on their breaks and shop around. Other than that, there is the gym on campus which has a basketball court and I have seen many people put it to use. There are certain times of the day where a lot of people will be in there and teams will be set up to play against each other.

Holyoke Community College has a diverse group of student clubs that provide a great deal of engaging and fun activities. These events include a monthly performance hour, poetry slam, No Shame Theater which allows students to write 5 minute plays and have them acted by their fellow students. Our student government, believe it or not, is a lot of fun to be a part of. We help clubs promote events, engage with our administration, volunteer in the community, and attend leadership conferences. Finally, our student activities office brings a great deal of speakers to campus to talk about fascinating topics.

Wouldn't know. I am a evening student. There is no activites, sports, anything open or available passed 5pm. Really sucks. No sense of community if you can only go evenings because you work or have a family.
