  1. The reason that trumps all is the Co-op program. This allows a student to work during the entire time they are earning their degree. The school is split between 3 months of school, and 3 months of work. This pattern repeats for 4.5 years until the student graduates. This gives students an amazing work experience so they can hit the job market running.
  2. The engineering disciplines especially are very extensive and informative. Don't expect to breeze through Kettering courses like you did in high school!
  3. The amazing opportunities Kettering offers through its student organizations and other social clubs.

The top 3 reasons someone should attend Kettering are the small class sizes, the incredible resources the students have access to, and the career experience accumulated during the co-op experience. The small class sizes allow students to work one-on-one with teachers and get the needed attention and work in order to succeed. Kettering has an abundant amount of resources such as design labs, biology labs, and a huge library giving students access to hands-on experiences of actual tests performed in the field and a substantial amount of knowledge. Finally, Kettering students are part of a 6 month co-op program every year, so every three months students get to go work for employers involved with the university and get paid to learn hands-on experience in the careers they will eventually go into.

The top three reasons someone should attend Kettering University are the small campus size, intense STEM Education, and Co-operative Education program. Because Kettering students are on three month rotations between school and work, the courses they take during their school terms are very intense. Kettering University is the national leader in STEM Education, which is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. This program is very highly regarded and definitely prepares students for critical thinking and innovating in the future. It is important that the students are performing their best while at school, so the small campus size is preferred. The small campus size means that there are less students and smaller class sizes, which in turn allows for more one-on-one time with the student and the professor so that he or she is receiving the best education possible. Along with STEM Education, the Co-operative Education program that Kettering offers definitely prepares students for the future. In today's working world, work experience is extremely important in order to get hired. By the time a student graduates from Kettering, on average he or she will have two full years of engineering experience. It is a great opportunity for students to get their foot in the door of the working world before they even graduate.

The first reason some one should attend this school is because of its reputation. It has a great reputation for helping make some of the best engineers in the country. The second reason some one should attend is because it has small class sizes. Because of this, the students get to know the teachers on a more personal level. The third reason is Kettering gives its students hands on experience in their field with its co-op. This gives the students a taste for what they are studying for.

The following are what I would consider to be the top three reasons that someone should attend Kettering University: 1. It allows you to follow what you are interested in. You get to meet other people like you. There's nothing worse than being the nerd in the room that no one else relates to. That all changes at Kettering. 3. It's a really good way to learn how to balance work, your personal life, stress, and relaxation. It's very much a sink or swim situation when you first begin.
