There are multiple extracurricular activities at my school such as Avid, which prepares you for college and helps you become a leader also to help you stay organized. Then there is SGA student government you are the voice of the school which means you get to help better the school in decision making such as prom an special events. Finally we have SADD that stands for students against destructive decisions, this group helps better students going through tough times. Those are just some of our extracurricular activities my school provides.

The three most popular extracurricular activities at Pine Ridge are sports, clubs, and community service. I recommend doing all three! There is a great variety of sports; the most popular being football, volleyball, baseball, and soccer; all great ways of showing your school spirit and pride. But if sports are not your strong point, maybe you might be interested in one of the multiple clubs on campus. There are clubs to help you prepare for college (AVID), clubs that help develop your leadership skills (LINK, student government), and clubs that support your personal beliefs and/or hobbies (gay and lesbian organization). Clubs are a great way to spend your time and learn a little more each day. Let us not forget about community service! Once a month, Pine Ridge holds a meeting for all students who wish to record their community service hours. They discuss where you can volunteer for the hours to count, how to record them, and how they can help you in the future.

3 extracurricular activities that are most popular are Student Government Association (SGA), Key Club, and Art Club. Depending on people's interest determines which clubs I would recommend them to. If the person wants to be involved in the festivities that go on in their school and want to help, I would recommend SGA. If the student wants to help out the community but doesn't know that many places to help, I would recommend Key Club. If the student wants to make a change in their school and also environment, I would recommend Teens Empowering Change. If they like to draw, I would recommend Art Club. The ex.tracurricular activities are just passed on the student's interest and their willingness to commit to that club
