The kind of student who is tolerant and open to new experiences, because Layton City is pretty chill place. The one that cares about school, but still cares about living, because, while great classes are offered and taken, they still allow time for a person to be a person. A humble student. We have a significant amount of Concurrent Enrollment classes with Weber state university so a college-bound student who wants to attend Weber State University would do wonderfully here. A student who likes a lot of Advanced Placement and Concurrent Enrollment class options would be impressed at our class list with classes like Advanced Placement Physiology, and Concurrent Enrollment Chemistry. There isn't a history class without an Advanced Placement counterpart. As a bonus, one who would be a friend to me, or a friend to my friend would be welcomed even more.

The type of student that should attend Layton High School is one who's willing to put forth hard work and do the best of their abilities. A person that even in their Senior year is still working hard and expanding their intellect and how far they can push themselves. Although many fall to the pit of "Senioritis", we need to avoid this as life does not get easier in the long term outlook. To this I mean that those who's work dilligently and go through the various trials of life, those are the ones who's will have greater reward in the end, a True Lancer is this. When I think of hard work it always bring me back to Theodore Roosevelt's quote: "I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life".
