At Westmoreland County Community College, we have a large variety of students who attend; recent high school graduates, students between their mid 20s and late 30s who didn't go to a secondary school after graduation, and middle aged students who decided to go back to school now that their kids are getting older. I believe this school is good for people of all ages to help them achieve a higher level of education.

A typical wccc student is someone who is there for prerequisite classes or if you are one to major in nursing or dental hygiene, those are amongst the students that attend wccc. Thanks, Kaleena

At Westmoreland County Community College there is no such thing as a typical student. Throughout my time at this institution I've noticed that our student body is very diverse and everyone has their own special story. One thing in common between all of us is that we have a desire to achieve and succeed.

Down to earth person wanting a good education to be prepared for a career with a hefty college debt.

I am the typical Westmoreland County Community College student. I wanted to go to school but did not want to go into debt. I will be studying to become a nurse and will most likely have to take loans out in the future in order to realize my dreams. Right now I am able to take my general education classes and some nursing classes without taking loans and as a bonus I don't have to drive far to go to classes.

Care-free and easy-going. It is a small and personable school. Everyone knows everyone and therefore if you ever need anything, there is always someone there to help you. People here are very help oriented, relaxed, and steadily paced.
