Students that are being lazy or not like to do anything at school, shouldn't attend Byron Nelson High School because they wouldn't like to be no where at their future. Or students that drop out quickly and like to break rules quickly shouldn't attend Byron Nelson High School either.

Byron Nelson High School houses students who fall in both extremes of dedication, and gives each the chance to be successful. It is truly up to the individual whether or not they accept the challenges they encounter in high school, or if they take advantage of any opportunities presented to them by teachers or mentors which could lead them to success. Teachers, staff and students at Byron are very much so leaders. They encourage and try to lift up each individual to help them uncover their intelligence, or uniqueness through programs like link leaders, who mentor incoming freshman, or Pals who pair up with an elementary schooler to show them that we all care, and are here to help them along the way to someday fill our shoes and become the leaders. Byron has a place for everyone, whether they are academically driven or not, their are clubs, extracurricular activities, and sports; and most of all, the great diversity of kids at Byron makes it an atmosphere where anyone can fit in.

A type of student that shouldn't attend Byron, would be a student that doesn't want to put forth the effort and engage in all of the opportunities that the school has to offer. A student that wouldn't want to be successful not only in college, but in real world situations.
