Because I attend an International Baccalaureate program the academic clubs seem to be the most popular like Science Olympiad, Mu Alpha Theta and Engineering Club. I really enjoy Science Olympiad and I am also the President. Mu Alph Theta is really fun because I enjoy Math. I am also on the Varsity Lacrosse Team and we have a great camaraderie.

The most popular extracurricular activities include service clubs (such as Key Club), sporting clubs which are attended for recreation, not as a sport (such as lacrosse and frisbee), and "Intellectual" clubs, specifically the National Honor Scoiety. I would reccommend getting invovled in service clubs, as this promotes giving back to the community and also promotes serving your classmates, opposed to the spirit of competition which is often generated among high school campi. Whille the sports clubs are fun, I would recommend becoming invovled in an established sports team, as doing so will teach commitment (as waking up hours earlier for Cross Country practice did for me), and will teach time management skills.
