My school has many extracurricular activities! From our Order of the Phoenix Club to our Culture Club, Scitech has a way of involving everyone. The most popular of the latter is my school's chapter of the Technology Student Association. This club is similar to UIL, yet it focuses on engineering-based topics. Another popular extra-curricular at my school, is our PE Club. Because my school does not offer sports, this is as close as many of us get to that. We meet in the mornings and after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays for some time in the gym, and on the court or field. On top of these clubs, my school has a very large chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. In this club we host a "Science Night" every once in a while and the students inform the public on new advances in any of the STEM fields. Professionals in any of the areas also present. One extracurricular I would recommend to any student attending my school are our Yearbook Club. We meet at least once a week, and get to design our yearbook. I really like it. Another extracurricular I would recommend is a new program our school is offering, called White Coats and Scrubs. This gives high school students the chance to shadow local doctors. For example, I shadowed a cardiologist and an ophthalmologist earlier this week and was able to watch a live heart catheterization. Talk about cool!

The 3 most popular are Mu Alpha Theta, TAMOAS, and Technology Student Association. I would recommend the debate team, as well as the above.

The Science Academy of South Texas, or Sci-tech, is a school with a wide range of extracurricular activities. Many students join the PE club, the running club, and For the Kids. The PE club opens the gym to students before and after school. This helps to keep the students at our school active which can be difficult, because we don't have traditional sports teams. By joining the PE club you are also able to compete in school sports tournaments against classmates and teachers, which always brings a crowd out to the gym to enjoy. Joining the running club is also helpful in keeping active and improving your health. It involves running in many 5 ks and trying to improve each time and reach your personal goals. If you are able to keep up with the runs and meet the requirements at the end of the year, your hard work could pay off in a trip to participate in a run in San Antonio or Dallas. Another popular extracurricular activity is the For the Kids club. The For the Kids club is part of an organization that raises money for families with children who have cancer. Throughout the year there's a variety of fundraisers to help raise this money, including dance marathons, district run marathons, and t-shirt sales. I recommend joining this club because you get to be involved in changing the lives of others for the better, and gaining perspective on how happy small things, like toys and nail polish, can make in a child's life.

Most schools in the nation are filled with extracurricular activities which anyone can be a part of. In the Science Academy the most popular extracurricular activity would be PASF, which stands for Pan American Student Forum. Here individuals compete in the art of dancing, singing and other things. Under PASF there is another organisation called TAMOAS which is a mock discussion representatives from countries around the globe. Due to TAMOAS, this makes PASF one of the biggest and the most popular extracurricular activities in the school. The next popular activity would have to be Technology Student Association or TSA for short. In this extracurricular activity individuals compete with other individuals in the state in their category. Categories range from website coding to bridge infrastructure analysis; there are many things to pick from. The last activity most popular activity would have to be NHS also known as National Honor Society which is a community service club with serves the community. The extracurricular activities i recommend to people are NHS, TSA, and the debate team. Anyone is free to join and show off their skills in regional competitions. These extracurricular activities enable individuals to meet new people as well as learning new things.
