Pasadena City College provides really good and sophisticated programs for science, especially our PhD program for stern cell engineering which is wonderful due to our corporation with Cal Tech. We also have amazing faculties for English and literature studies, even in many other languages. Moreover, our school provides a lot of resources and funds, for students, to create their own projects and researches to accomplish their academic goals.

  • It's definitely cheaper than going to a university, especially if you are eligible for financial aid.
  • The campus is beautiful! It is always very well kept. It's also huge, with a lot of space to walk around and find somewhere that you could be alone if you wanted.
  • It offers many classes that are transferrable to college. Some community colleges don't have all the class requirements for certain majors, but Pasadena has a reputation of being a good school to go to if you're trying to transfer because it offers so many classes with really amazing staff.

The top three reasons someone should attend Pasadena City College the tuition is reasonable. You really do get your money's worth. If you can't afford the cost, you can receive financial aid and/or work for the school to help for classes and books. Another reason is that the school, staff, friends, and teachers are all very inviting and friendly. My final reason is that it's one of the most successful transfer schools in the United States. That itself speaks volumes. You can bet that you're not wasting your money and time doing something counterproductive

As a community college, tuition will be a lot cheaper. Also, students are more likely to be taught by their assigned instructors, rather than a teacher aide, which happens at many prestigious four-year universities. Lastly, with a semester-based school year, the transition from high school to post-secondary school will not be as difficult.

In no particular order I would have to say, the top three reasons for someone to attend this college include their amazing math and science department, the MESA program helping underrepresented students in the fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and finally the professors who are involved with the MESA program, despite them having office hours they go into the centers and give some more of their time to the students who are part of the program.
