We celebrate the community and each other through monthly events and receptions. We always celebrate the anniversary of Rensselaer on a yearly basis. In the winter, many students build intricate igloos and snow forts with tunnels that lead to other igloos/forts. Many RPI students also play Quidditch. We had gone to the nationals one year and are extremely proud of our team.

Many students at RPI spend their free time playing intramural sports such as soccer, basketball and softball or do community service through organizations such as habitat for humanity or big brother/sister. The college will also often have guest speakers come to the campus which grab the attention through the campus and students also often attend that as well.

The top three things that students do for fun at RPI would be going out to parties, going to athletic events, and participating in club events. RPI has a very strong social scene and Greek Life for a small, strong academic school and this translates into a work hard play hard environment. Our sports teams here also usually perform very well and we can get large crowds at the games (especially against Union!). Finally, there are a huge amount of clubs for students to participate in at RPI. You can consistently see students doing anything ranging from cooking to sports to music to reading in different clubs that help them flourish and socialize.

Since we have a predominantly male student body, video games are probably at the top of the list. Then, on the weekends, we have movie screenings in one of the lecture halls. Lastly, with the countless clubs, sports teams, and Greek societies, there is never a shortage of ways to get involved and have fun.
