A typical student should be independent, self-motivated, organized and have exceptional time management skills. From my experience thus far, Schiller is not very professional or efficient. Therefore, a student must be able to handle strenuous classes while being able to manage their personal lives, as well as dealing with Schiller's mistakes. For example, Schiller uses BlackBoard and students are expected to submit some of their assignments through the online portal. But every now and again there are technical glitches. And students have to use their best judgement to submit their assignment. But then they may come across a Professor who is not understanding and does not accept the student's initiative to utilize a different method to submit their assignment on-time. Also, I have been personally having issues with the financial aid department properly applying my student aid, resulting in an erroneous balance on my account. So it can be stressful and discouraging. So a Schiller student must be resilient and determined to follow through and succeed.
