We have a beautiful social area that many students refer to as "campus corner". I often go there to blow off some steam. There are places to shop, eat and meet new people. We also have a park that has beautiful scenery. Many people bring bread to feed the ducks that are swimming in the ponds. Another activity student participate in for fun are the events our student government holds. There are always free food, prizes and live music. It is a very fun and interactive way to meet new people.

Explore the nearby wildlife, gather in large study groups at the cafe's, go to local music and stand up shows

Being new to the college I'm still discovering new outlets for social interaction. The best place to start is the events calendar. There are activities going on every night of the week. From foam or toga parties to casino night and ice cream socials. I'm also truly looking forward to football season. The experience you have at campus corner before each game is phenomenal. The school spirit here is astounding. My newest experience has been in joining a religious group. The diversity at this university is amazing. You are sure to find the right fit without having to look too hard.

Awesome gatherings between fraternities, sororities, and anyone else. Go out to all the restaurants and clubs on campus corner. Just doing fun things with friends

  1. Attend class and study! (That's fun, right?)
  2. Student organizations are an excellent way to have a fun student experience, from the outdoor club to the rowing team, to the speech and debate team to student congress. There is so much to do here that if you aren't having fun, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
  3. If numbers one and two aren't really your thing, there are regular events on campus such as movie nights, ballroom dances, and other assorted venues that you can get any experience you want out of this place. It really is an excellent school with an incredibly student oriented atmosphere.

Well here at the University of Oklahoma, OU football is serious fun! We are also well known for different sororities and fraternities which calls for great fun. Last but not least hanging out with the class of 2019 is the best fun of all!

At the University of Oklahoma, Sooner football games are at the top of the events list. Game days on campus are crazy with tailgaters and events, and we even cancel school when we play our rivals. Behind that, there are tons of other sporting events to attend, and a lot of students participate in intramural sports as well. As with many colleges, students at the University of Oklahoma love a good party. Fraternities and sororities on campus often host events for those involved, but the Campus Activities Council also sponsors special parties, events, and concerts throughout the year for anyone to attend.

One of the things I like to do is to go swimming. I have always loved the water, and as the summer months come to a close, there is no better time to hit the pool, or go for a short drive to the lake. Get some good grilling, great company, and a day in the water, you won’t find a happier guy.

But it’s not always fun in the sun, sometimes it’s a podcast in the library while studying up for that next test or researching for this week’s essay. Picking a topic that I like to read about and share with others is key to advancing in school, a good podcast or playlist only reinforces that.

But as evenings come upon us, it’s great to kick back with the guys and play some games. Grabbing a controller and kicking back on the couch as we cheer and yell and laugh, or even around the table with pizza and dice, no matter the game, its better with friends.

Of course after a hard of studying nonstop, nothing is more fun than just letting the bed embrace you as you sleep like the dead. Some people will go around to all the fountains on the University Grounds and try and swim in all of them as fast as possible. Some people will create AWESOME, nerdy clubs and create fun inspiring videos using characters from anime, cartoons, shows, books, etc.

OU has a fantastic atmosphere at football games, even if someone is not a football "fan" it is still a great time. Soonerathon which is a 12-hour dance to raise money for a nearby children's hospital. Campus Corner has great boutiques and cafes and is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

among things one of the biggest is the intramural sports that anyone can sign up for, also all of the varying clubs that cover just about every type of ability, and finally all of the free events that are provided by the campus provide a great way to have a good time on campus.

Students LOVE going to OU football games in the fall. It brings the whole school together and it’s such a great atmosphere. During the spring there’s an event called “Soonerthon” that is put on to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network and everyone likes to attend and dance for 12 hours. Throughout the year, students really enjoy taking walks to Campus Corner to eat and shop.

OU offers free movies, that just came out, every Friday night. There is also an area called "campus corner" that is a small college-oriented shopping district that also offers various restaurants and entertaining nightlife. Another top thing students do for fun here is visit OU’s two public museums, the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art and the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, ranked among the top university-based museums in the country.

The atmosphere in Norman is quite relaxed and there is always something to do with friends on or off campus. Free movies play in Meacham Auditorium every weekend and volleyball and basketball leagues are organized through Student Life. Furthermore, there are free snocones on Tuesday, crawfish boil, and comedian performances. The Summer Session team has planned so many events this summer that brought together OU as a community and foster new friendships. The students and staff that are around in the summer are able to relax without the hustle and bustle of the school year.

At the University of Oklahoma fun is not hard to find at all and often comes looking for you. As fun is a word often defined differently depending on the person you ask there are many activities and organizations the University of Oklahoma has to offer. The top three would be The Soonerthon, Football Games, and U SING! The soonerthon is a 12 hour dance marathon and all proceeds go to the hospital for children located right in Norman. Last year over $100,000 was raised and donated! Football games are always on Saturdays and don't need to be explained as everyone loves tailgating and cheering on their favorite team! U SING is a competition where different greek organizations perform skits and dances showcasing their talents and all proceeds are donated again to programs right in Norman, Oklahoma.

  2. Join clubs. There are hundreds of student organizations on campus for all kinds of groups and interests.
  3. Enjoy the campus! The University's campus is absolutely gorgeous. Just walking around with your friends and going fountain hopping is a great way to spend a fall evening.

Football games - Come on! Everyone loves BOOMER SOONER football! Any other sporting events (yes, there are sports besides football although some OU fans debate that) - OU fans are a pretty die hard bunch. Concerts - OU has been know to rock out when given the chance!

Football games - or any sport really- are a huge deal at this athletic school. Campus Corner is a great place to grab some food, go shopping and still be right next to campus. The student union has an awesome technology playground that students can go and try new products- all for free.

Students at the University of Oklahoma love to attend football games each fall and cheer on the Sooners. They also like to spend time with friend at Campus Corner, the downtown area of campus with fun places to eat and hang out with friends. Finally there is always time for studying at the library or other quite areas around campus.

The top three things would be getting involved in organizations or clubs on or off campus. Spend time getting to know new people. I also find it awarding and fun to get involved in intramural sports. It's a great way to be out there doing something you love and making new friends while you're at it. My last item of fun would have to be attending different events that are sponsored through the University.

Most students go to campus corner. Norman is a college town and Campus Corner is right on campus. It has bars and different food places. Chipotle and Logie's being everyone's favorite. It also has different boutiques for shopping as well. Due to Campus Corner's close proximity to the campus students are often seen going there for lunch, breakfast and even just to study. On the weekends during the fall and during football season, it's can be a madhouse in many of the places. You'll always run into someone you know. OU is a huge football school so during football season you can see many students in their own section. student tickets are sold at a discount person and the seats are first come first serve. And of course students have house parties for fun as well.

The University of Oklahoma is an open campus that offers it's students plenty of opportunities to explore and have fun. For instance, students can:

  1. Spend a Saturday tailgating outside of Oklahoma Memorial Stadium before the Sooners take on their next opponent in their chase for their 8th national championship. People start to stake our their spots the Friday morning before the game even starts! There are hundreds of tents set up with huge flat-screen TVs, dozens of lawn chairs, and great food being made on the grill. It's a truly great atmosphere that can really only be beaten by the game itself - a highly intense, very loud fan-base can really make for a great Saturday night.

  2. One of my favorite things to do as a student is make the trek down to historic Campus Corner when I have a break in between classes for shopping and lunch. There are so many cute boutiques on Campus Corner that I really have a hard time not spending all my money in just a few hours! There is also some great food in this part of campus. My personal favorite is the hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurant called Tea Cafe. Their chicken fried rice is to die for, and this is coming from someone who doesn't really like Chinese food to begin with! Legendary O'Connells is also located on Campus Corner where you can catch a Thunder game or even participate in Karaoke if you're confident enough! Finally, you can't leave Campus Corner without making a stop at Hurts Donut Shop. That place has every doughnut you can practically think of, plus it's open 25 hours a day, 8 days a week as the door proudly boasts. Campus Corner is a great place to grab lunch, go shopping, or hang out before the football game (that place gets crazy on Game day).

  3. Finally, another fun thing to do on campus is visit the world-renowned museums we have, right here in little Norman, Oklahoma. First, the Sam Noble Museum has some of the top-notch dinosaur bone reconstructions I've ever seen. I've been going there since I was a little kid, and I still don't get tired of looking through the exhibits they have on display there. My favorite exhibit is the Hall of People of Oklahoma, because I can find some artifacts that my ancestors, the Creek Indians, might have used! Second, the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art is definitely one of the University's finest treasures. There are paintings by Van Gogh, Renoir, and Monet in this museum for goodness sake! You can spend all day in this museum and not even get through half of it because of how many great pieces of art there are to look at here. Luckily for OU students, both of these museums are free admission as long as you show your student ID.

From football games, to shopping, to museums, there are things for all interests on this campus. It's one of the reasons I'm so glad I chose to come here!

At OU, each and every student have some sort of idea of fun they like to engage in on campus. One of the top 3 things that students do for fun at OU is proudly attend the football games and all the excitement that comes with it. It's a full day of roaring fans, both old and young, proudly showing off their crimson and cream in the hopes of winning each game. Students also find that any event the school hosts is never a dull and boring one. There's the Foam Party where students are literally covered from head to toe in just soapy, foamy bubbles and just dance the night away. Lastly, the third event, which might be one of my favorites, is when OU shows movies on the lawn next to the Student Union ranging anywhere from Harry Potter to Thor.

There is an enormous student life at the University of Oklahoma. It is difficult to limit the activities students participate in to only three things. I would say the main activity is attending our amazing team's football games and other sports throughout the year. The second would be participating in on campus clubs and activities put on by these clubs. The third thing I would say students do is get involved in the community either through the clubs they participate in, community service, or giving back by working.

Even though there's always something going on somewhere on campus, typically, we hang out in dorms, skate around Norman, and sometimes drive over to Oklahoma City to take in the sights and get off campus.

Anonymous, Student, University of Oklahoma-Norman Campus, Class of 2014

The University of Oklahoma is a very social college and has several hubs and hangouts outside campus that students frequent. Students enjoy spending time together, studying diligently, or not. There is also plenty of empty, grassy fields where students can play Frisbee, football, soccer, baseball, volleyball in some nearby courts spread all around Norman, or anything else that seems tantalizing in the fresh air. Finally, as a part of the Sooner Nation and the spirit that follows, I have never seen a student section so involved in all of its collegiate athletics. We set aside entire Saturdays for Oklahoma football or plan nights around women's and men's basketball games. As set in tradition as we are, the experiences that come with game days hardly fit into one day. We barely ever sit waiting for something better to happen.

Anonymous, Student, University of Oklahoma-Norman Campus, Class of 2017

We go to football games and other sporting events. We can drive 25 minutes to Oklahoma City for fun events and concerts. We can also hang around campus, the library is fantastic!
