I would say attending gcc provides you with a good environment of those not exactly ready for university life. hcc is smaller, therefore you can get a lot of one on one help from great faculty members. plus if your gpa wasn't to great in high school its the perfect place to go to raise it before transitioning

Someone should attend HCC if they can't afford to go to a real University, if they messed around in high school and can't get in anywhere else, or if they're smart about things and get into the Rouse program and stay at HCC for 2 years and then transfer to John's Hopkins.
