I recently transferred to Howard from James Madison High School in New York. So far my experiences have been good. People here are very friendly and welcoming to outsiders, I have made an exceptional amount of friends within the first couple weeks. For new and transfer students, counselors check in with you to make sure you are doing okay. The counselors are very easy to talk to if you are having a problem also. A new student coming to Howard should be open to change but whoever tou are you can fit in easily. There is no certain person you ahould be, just you.

Honestly, there is no "typical" student of Howard High. Howard truly is a very diverse school, and I hate to say it but there are so many cliques. Theres the typical jock, the cheerleaders, the dancers, the nerds, the creative artists and the list goes on. It is impossible to define a certain individual here simply because there is so much to be involved in and so much going on. Any person can attend Howard because there is something for everyone, no matter what their interests are. Us students are very different, but still come together as a school.
