A typical student here could likely be described as tentative but friendly {in my experience}, and may or may not have decided on what their life/career path is to be just yet. Most students here, though they often require insight to help guide their decisions and studies {myself included} are not afraid to put in the work required to attain their academic goals.

Ultimately, Glendale Community College is a melting pot of just about ever kind of student out there. I have met students that do come from other countries, while most of them are their from around the Arizona valley, while I have met a few that have come from other states. Since it is a community college you will have those that are motivated and driven while you will also have those that are there just to make friends that never seemed to leave high school.

Someone that is a spend thrift, that knows that college can be expensive and so they earn any credits they can before going onto the university. Or a person who is just trying to better themselves by earning a 2 year degree so that they can stop living paycheck to paycheck and may make enough to raise a family.

From my experience, a typical Glendale Community College student are generally a Biology or Psychology major majority-wise; they are typically independent in some way (like driving to school themselves, busing to school on the Metro, or they work a 9 to 5 to pay their tuition and books), and they are very vocal about their grades/weaknesses (for an example, if they got a "C" on a test, they would politely approach to the professors and ask what I did wrong and what should I do to get a better grade next time.)

The type of person that should attend Glendale Community College are people that have either any, all, or just one of the following attributes: goal driven, persistent, the desire to better their lives and/or socioeconomic status, desire to learn and expand their knowledge, or the longing for a second chance to better their lives (as in going to GCC as a means to transfer out to their dream schools, get a degree/certificate to re-adapt for the ever-changing work force, get a GED, etc)

There is no such thing to be honest because of the reasons why the student is going to Glendale Community College. However it is a new day you meet new people, you eat lunch with strangers, you study your butt off in the library, you take a nap on the grass, you stress about everything on top of your education.
