One reason someone should attend Midland College is that it is a small college. Although that might sound like a negative, it is actually a good thing. That means that the professors can spend more one on one time with the students, and better communication is done with smaller classroom sizes. My second reason is that as a community college, MC can help freshman students start off their college career without breaking the bank. Unlike universities, community colleges generally have lower priced tuitions in comparison. Apart from that, if you're still unable to afford the education, there is so much opportunity here to apply for scholarships, that there really isn't an excuse as to why someone shouldn't apply for scholarships here. Chances are, if you ask for help from financial aid, they'll find you something that you qualify for. With that in mind, I'd like to say that my last reason is the people who work there. The staff at Midland College are amazing, and are always there to help a student in need. Whether it be help in lecture/homework, finances, counseling, whoever you ask for help in what is needed will do it in such a manner that it makes you feel like you're at a second home. They'll usually do their best in finding the best solution in any situation. I can't even imagine the hardships of some students who may not have any supporting system of people to depend on. I'm very fortunate to be given the chance to attend here.

One reason someone should attend here is that classes are not so big and you get the attention you need, your instructors even know you by name. Another reason is because there are a wide variety of courses to choose from. And lastly because all the instructors are willing to help you out as well as the students, there are a variety of tutors and after class help a student can get if it is ever needed.

  1. TO play sports. They're are a lot of students that are from all over the globe to play at Midland College, surprisingly.
  2. To save money while living at home. The commute is short and sweet and the school is affordable.
  3. To get a degree while being in high school. Many high school students are taking duel credit classes from Midland College. I, however, attend high school on Midland College campus. I am in my senior year and I am also a sophomore in college. I will graduate with an associates degree before I even get my diploma. Midland College is pretty well-known for this program.
