If I could do it all again (picking what high school to attend), I do not think I would change a thing. As a typical timid freshman, I was nervous my first few weeks at Bishop Stang. Not only did I get lost at least a dozen times, but I also found myself struggling academically. To my surprise, there was never a time I felt alone throughout any of this. I began to ask upperclassmen for directions to classes and was never turned down. I also started going for extra help and never felt like I was "stupid" for doing so or asking "too much from a teacher". I discovered how easy it was to also be open about my faith and never get put-down for it because everyone was so accepting, even if they were not the same religion. I found friends with ease and began participating in other clubs to meet new people. My dad has always said, "there is never a kid who is not smiling walking in and walking out of that building". I have grown so much as a person and the only place to credit that too is Bishop Stang.

I would highly recommend it. I feel that my child received an excellent education with opportunities for independent study as well as advanced placement courses. Technology is up to date. Teachers were available to help students outside of school hours.

I would definitely recommend attending Stang because the experiences that one has and the growth that each member of the student body goes through, academically, interpersonally, and spirituality. I have matured more in the last four years from being at Stang than I would anywhere else. I also felt very confident when applying for schools, understanding how valuable a Bishop Stang education is.

If given the option to speak at middle schools across the country, I would promote Bishop Stang until there were so many students at the school that classes had to be taught in the bathrooms because there was no more room elsewhere. Bishop Stang offers challenging academics, a variety of extracurriculars for people from every walk of life with every interest imaginable, and a tight-knit community where each person is known by his or her first name and not by an identification number.

After attending Bishop Stang High School for four years, I would recommend attending this school if you had the choice. This school may be smaller than many other high schools but that allows everyone to get to know everyone else in a personal way. The teachers can develop positive relationships with their students which makes the students perform better academically. It is like a family more than a school. We spend so much time together that we have all become very close. I remember when I was about to choose which high school to go to, My older sister had gone to another high school and I remember saying that I wanted to go to the same high school that she did because I was so used to that school, it was familiar to me, so it was less threatening. But I shadowed a student for a day at Bishop Stang and knew immediately that is where I wanted to spend the next four years of my life. I felt so at home, everyone was extremely nice, even the teachers were considerate. I was so dead-set on going to a different high school until I spent one day at Bishop Stang High School.

Yes, I would recommend attending Bishop Stang to anyone who is considering it. As I graduated eighth grade, I had the choice between Bishop Stang and my town's public high school. Although at first I was hesitant to leave the people I grew up with and go to a school I was unfamiliar with, I decided to come to Stang. Since freshman year, I have never once questioned my decision and feel lucky to have had the opportunity. Stang has given me the opportunity to become part of a family and make friends I would not have made any where else. The classes, curriculum, religious aspect, and extracurricular opportunities have allowed me to grow as a person, discover what my beliefs are, and who I want to be as a person. Bishop Stang has helped me to grow up and become my own person and has provided me with an environment and atmosphere that I would recommend to anyone.
