The top three things that students do for fun at BCTC are similar to activities that other students do at their universities or colleges. Party, study groups, and sports are mostly what students do for fun at my college.
There are lots of intramural sports to do, lots of clubs to be involved in, and lots of fun people to talk to!
Number one would have to be Sporting events and tailgating. Most students are fans and members of "The Big Blue Nation" and cheer on The Kentucky Wildcats. They also enjoy concerts and music festivals. This area has an eclectic sampling of most music genres so there's a show somewhere for everyone's taste. Lastly, I'd have to say drive ins and movies are a regular date night/night out choice for students with a multitude of theaters and venues to chose from. Lexington, KY's entertainment choices really are unlimited. There's always something fun to do.
Things that students at BCTC like to do for fun include: Intramural Sports, go to UK basketball games, and visit the local Arboretum.
Throughout the time that I have spent at Bluegrass, I've noticed a handful of activities that the students truly enjoy. Right off the bat, we see that Bluegrass has an influx of runners that are supported by the local community. We also have many students that attend Bluegrass that spend most of their recreational time at our local Christian Student Fellowship. Many students volunteer their time in order to become better connected with their community. Probably the most popular of activities at this college is simply supporting, watching, and cheering on local sports such as our local basketball, football, and baseball teams.
Work at off-campus jobs, consider transfer opportunities to other schools, and go out to eat at fabulous local restaurants.
