  1. In the warmer months, many students rent bikes and ride down to the beach where they can travel along the trails to Navy Pier and hang around downtown.
  2. There are a few pretty large lawn areas on campus so a lot of students throw together impromptu frisbee or football games. There's always something active going on!
  3. Movie and live music nights! One of the buildings on campus has a late night cafe and they put together open mic and trivia nights, to name a few.

The three top things that students do for fun at North Park University is to take the El Train and travel downtown Chicago. The skyline is a sight to behold. The second thing is to eat the famous stuffed pizza at one of the many restaurants found in Chicago. The pizza tastes like nothing else in the world. And the third thing students do for fun at North Park University is to visit the Oak Street beach of the beautiful Lake Michigan. It is the third largest great lake and it is certainly great!

At North Park, students are in a prime location to learn and explore what is around them, located in the city of Chicago. As North Park is located in one of the most diverse zip codes in all of Chicago, it is a great opportunity to explore exotic restaurants. The eating landscape includes restaurants with foods from six different continents, so there are alway new things to try. Additionally, students will go to downtown Chicago to shop at different stores along the iconic Michigan Avenue. Though many may not purchase much, many people have a great time simply browsing through the shops! For sports enthusiasts, there is a plethora of sporting events available in the area. Cubs and White Sox baseball, Bears football, Bulls basketball, Blackhawks hockey, Fire soccer, and even professional softball events fill the schedule of sports in the Chicago area nearly every day of the year.

At North Park University students have many opportunities to have fun. From walking the campus to being with friends, the possibilities are endless. With our location in the heart of North side Chicago, options are constantly being opened. A huge tradition on campus is attending the soccer games. The crowd turnout is amazing and we love to cheer on the team. At North Park we take full advantage of the the new recreation center on campus. It is the home of our many active students, and a great place to have fun with friends. Finally and most importantly, students love to explore Chicago, specifically downtown. There is always a new adventure waiting on ever undiscovered city block!

The top three things that students do for fun at North Park University is play Ultimate Frisbee, go out eating (if your under 21), and go downtown. They are die-heart kind of people when it comes to their Frisbee. You can see them playing outside regardless of any Chicago cold weather. Eating is a given, the party life is dry here so there are no parties. Party life is usually start with the age of 21 with bars and clubs. Overall, it not many things to do on campus unless they have events. Usually, everyone finds their way to the downtown area because that is where all the attraction and numerous activities.
