The student who is self centered or only focused on themselves is not the type of student to attend Illinois State. The focus , in my opinion, at Illinois State is one of succeeding as a society and building partnerships that will span the world. Need though individualism is accepted, team work is promoted.

If you are not ready to put in work, commitment and drive needed to make good grades and graduate from ISU, you should not waste your money. Being serious about earning a great education takes work, commitment and drive. If you're not ready to put in the work to earn the degree, you're better off not wasting your money.

I believe students who are unsure about their future should no attend Illinois State. It really is goal oriented and as a freshman, I'm already in my major classes. So coming here without a set plan might be more costly and not effective for that student.

The type of student who shouldn't attend Illinois State is someone who is lazy, for the most part classes are easy the easy way to fail is someone who is lazy and fails to study for exams, also a student who is not open to making new friends and wants to stay in the same circle. It is not hard to adjust to Illinois State living so for people who don't like the cold and walking to class from their dorms should go someone warmer. Weather at Illinois State is similar to Chicago weather and if students from different states live in warmer areas and don't adjust well to the cold should not attend Illinois State. Overall this school is a good opportunity to many students to open up more even the students who wouldn't be a fit for Illinois State could turn around and be adjusted to the RedBirds lifestyle.
