This question is impossible to answer accurately. About 20,000 students go to UTK, and we have at least one of every variety. Anyone can find a place at UTK.

Someone who has dedicated school spirit. This school is about the traditions and supporting each other as we go through school and sports. This school is special because students focus on academics as well as coming together in unity of volunteering and supporting the VOLS.

The type of person that should attend the University of Tennessee-Knoxville is someone who is very school-spirited and who is looking for a family feel. UT offers several programs, so almost anyone can go there. But, if you don't participate in Big Orange Friday then you're in trouble! GO VOLS! You must show your Vol Pride.

There is not a particular group or student that should be attending to The University of Tennessee- Knoxville. Knoxville has such a diverse campus. Of course there will always be stereotypes, but you can find all the different clicks still in the same place at the end of the day, talking to one another. If I had to describe the ideal UT student, I would say someone that is not afraid of being themselves and willing to express their feelings in a generous way. People here are so accepting and nice that it makes you feel like no matter how different you are from someone, you are always welcome.

The typical UT Volunteer probably plans to maintain a balance between the good grades and the good social life. While studying is important, study breaks are also important-if not more. Going out on the weekends is common, whether it be to a frat party or just going to watch a movie.

Students come from all around the country to become a Vol. I have met people from as far as Michigan and California and even some who live 10 minutes away but all share something in common. Drive. At the University of Tennessee, change is happening and we are improving the ways for the future. Students are motivated, determined, and eager to make the most of life. I have met people who played sports, were apart of a band, or a member of a robotics club in high school and are now working together to challenge and shape their own lives. But the best part about UT is how there is something here for everyone, you \just need the drive to find it.
