Hmm, Where to begin? My University, TAMIU, has events going on all year! One of the funnest things we have is international events. TAMIU will host "culture" events. We are able to go and learn about one another culture, history, and traditions. This past semester we had one of India. Every student from India wore their traditional clothing the day of the event. We also got hennas on our hands. Very interesting to be able to learn about one another and not close ourselves to one specific culture.
The second thing I would say is really fun would be FCA. I am currently a leader in our organization- Fellowship Christian Athletes. We meet every Tuesday night, and as the weeks pass by more students join us. Fascinating thing about FCA is that you don't have to be a Christian and you also don't have to be an Athlete. We have several events during the year. We encourage, help, and pray for all of our schools sport teams. Its amazing!
Lastly, I would say the Fine Arts Performances. From the music festivals to the Winter Nutcracker show. This past November, we had our Fall recital. It was a mixture of all types of dances. Flamenco, Salsa, Jazz, Ballet, you name it. I was part of the Jazz team and it was exciting to see the auditorium packed of friends and family. TAMIU overall is an exciting, comfortable environment!
