Student, North Pulaski High School, Class of 2016,
Considering the fact that the high school I attend is a public one, literally anyone can attend. The type of person who attends North Pulaski High School is someone who's parents have already gone, or who thinks that all the other high schools around aren't for them. In my case as the youngest of four, in a family of retired military, the closet school to the base is North Pulaski. All of my siblings have gone to it so why shouldn't I? I'm sure you've seen plenty of essay's or entry's stressing the point that "not just anyone can go here," or "everyone that goes here is unique and has a background!" Well let's be frank, my school is an average American backwash high school in the middle of Nowhere Arkansas, and no one ever important has graduated from my high school and probably never will. But the staff there have changed lives, and have taught life long lessons that you will never see. That girl serving your Sonic drink probably went to my high school where when her mother threw her out, Mrs. Reed the biology teacher took her in and now she has a stable job and a place to live. Those are the type of people that attend my school, the ones with no hope, that get it from the teachers that are underpaid, and unappreciated.
