Van Nuys High School has a variety of students. There are two programs: residential and magnet. The Magnet program consisted of 3 major programs. Those are Performing arts, Medical, and Mathematics. Every student may express his/hers desire in either programs. But teachers are also diverse when it comes to their teaching.

It depends whether the student is part of one of our school's 3 magnet programs or if they are a residential student. A student who is part of the Math/Science magnet or the Medical magnet (and a few from the Performing Arts magnet) tend to be more driven and more prone to taking AP courses. My school i actually so competitive that a student with a 4.0 gpa barely makes the top 100 students of their grade. If a student wishes to stand out at Van Nuys High School, he or she must be a very hard-working dedicated student that is willing to take a rigorous course while still participating in a good amount of extracurriculars.

VNHS students know when to play hard and when to study hard. They are all high achievers and tried their best to make their progress reports as appealing as possible. Teachers are always busy even in their free time answering questions to students that didn't clearly understand the lecture. Students gather with each other near the testing day to review together what might come out on the tests. These students know what colleges and majors they are reaching for. However, they are also active in school dances. Our school hosts at least two dances a year. The DJs are always the best and the food trucks invited make the best food in the town. These VNHS gatherings are always exciting. And to the future VNHS wolves, be ready to study hard and socialize harder with others.
