For one thing, no stereotypes. Granted, a few students from other states decided to attend this school because it's Las Vegas, all the party in one town. Yet it doesn't matter, anyone who just wants to pursue their education and have a grasp at a career is welcomed. A student just has to have the ambition of learning and integrating in new friendships and meeting new people.

There is no requirement on personality in UNLV, however if management is the one thing on a students mind during high school, there is no better place than the UNLV Lee Business School to get a degree and learn the ropes.

While UNLV is home primarily to residents of Nevada, many of which come from similar backgrounds, I've learned during my time on campus that UNLV is rated as one of the most diverse schools in the nation. With this considered, and my personal time spent here reinforcing my viewpoint, I can safely say that the work ethics, attitudes, and educational background of UNLV's 30,000 students is so 'untypical' that it's nearly impossible to measure the student body as a whole. This campus is home to every kind of person, armed with every kind of background from the slackers, to the prodigies, and those just trying to get a degree.

I wouldn't say there is a specific type of person that should attend, what is important is how studious and determined you are to complete your credits to graduate. UNLV is an excellent place for anybody but you are going to have good time management to handle the school work and personal responsibilities.

This is a hard question for me, as I am not only a transfer-student, but also a student who is a non-traditional student. I did not grow up here, but a lot of my classmates did, so I will do my best to describe them. The local students are dedicated, caring, hard working, generous and have some of the biggest hearts of anyone I have ever met. They are also driven by the pursuit of a goal that does not conform to the expected role of future employment in the tourism industry. They want to learn how they can impact the lives of those within our community.
