Student, Platte County High School, Class of 2016,
The typical Platte County Pirate knows that the whole is bigger than any one part. Being a Pirate means being part of a bigger cause, a school family, one that sticks together. Most students are from the small town of Platte City or from the surrounding rural community. The inhabitants are unassuming and kind, helpful and genuine, giving and hard-working. If you are a show off or boastful, self-centered, or uncaring, Platte County High School is not for you. Not many schools in the country have a principal that openly tells all students that he genuinely loves them. Not many public schools talk about prayer and are unopposed to it. Pirates aren't afraid, they have each others backs, they are commonly known throughout the school and community as The Pirate Nation. I'm personally proud to be a Pirate.
