Student, Chattahoochee High School, Class of 2016,
There is no 'typical' Chattahoochee student that I am aware of because Hooch students are so diverse and talented in different areas; Classes include straight A kids with 13 AP classes under their belt sitting next to a B average student who's performed at Carnegie Hall. However, the majority of Hooch students here do show similar traits. One noticeable characteristic of a Hooch student, is that the majority of them are well-off. Johns creek is the richest city in Georgia and the 13th highest-earning city in the United States. That being said, the bulk of Chattahoochee students work for their spending money and they understand hard work and dedication - especially when it comes to grades. On average, a student will graduate from Chattahoochee with 3-6 AP classes. Students here feel the academic pressure to keep a high GPA and they challenge not only themselves but each other to study. A student at Hooch will also most likely be involved in an extracurricular of some sort; there are approximately 50 clubs a student could join at Hooch, not including any of the sports or musical programs. Students at Chattahoochee will also find themselves involved in more than one friend group. With nearly 1400 students in one campus, a person will find himself many types of people and personalities that coincide with their own. It is nearly impossible to be be alone with no friends or hobbies at Chattahoochee because there are so many great people and great activities one could participate in.
