One of the top 3 things students at the University of Houston Downtown do for fun is become involved with organizations that help serve the community and school functions at the University of Houston Downtown. Second, most students hang out in the food court just to socialize and catch up on homework assignments. They also hang out at the Starbucks and another small coffee shop on the 3rd floor just to socialize and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee.

Here at The University of Houston we like to play sports to keep ourselves busy and build our academic and professional resumes so that we can have successful career interviews in the future. We also study hard so that we can complete our courses with high scores and actually get the understanding of the course as a whole. Last but not least, we also like to get involved in community service opportunities to not only better our school environment but to help better the Houston community.

Our fun consists of lots and lots of studying! I'm not in college for the fun, I'm in college for the education and the opportunities it will bring me and my children in the future.

Join a club or sometimes hangout at the loung where we know it as our game room because of the pool. We also love to participate in downtown activities to represent our school.

Personally I like to explore downtown during my breaks, or after class with my friends. There are many places to go to, like the underground tunnel where there are a lot of options when it comes to food. There is also a student life center where students are able to relax and meet new people, while playing pool or table tennis. There are also computers and a few other game system that are available for the student body. Lastly, for people that enjoy an active life, the gym is available for people who wants to hangout and play a few games of basketball, badminton, or volleyball.

We utilize the fitness center, which has a number of options. We take zumba and yoga classes, and use the fitness equipment. We form study groups and socialize within those groups. This is a commuter school, therefore, other than actual classes, there isn't much extracurricular activity on campus.
