1.) Clubs - At Penn State, there is something for everyone. I swing dance, meaning I learn and teach people how to dance as people did in the 20s-50s. My roommate is involved in Model UN, where they host and attend conferences with other schools. Another good friend of mine is a member of the Penn State Tea House, where they brew and sell loose-leaf tea to other Penn State students. In addition to these, there are language clubs, dance clubs, sports clubs, and THON organizations (where they raise money for THON and directly interact with THON families). No matter what your interests are, you'll be certain to find a niche at Penn State.
2.) Football - It is nearly impossible to attend Penn State and not go to a Penn State football game. Every weekend during the season, students, alumnai, and locals alike gather together to tailgate, drink, and cheer on their favorite team. People camp outside the stadium even before the day of the game. Snow, sleet and rain, it doesn't matter; the stadium will always be packed. Penn State football is an integral part of student life an culture, and one that nearly everyone can enjoy for one reason or another.
3.) Partying - Partying exists on nearly all college campuses; however Penn State has been one of the top ranked Party Schools for the past several years. Whether it's at a frat, in a club's house, at a bar, etc., you can find a party here nearly every night. Students love to go out with their friends, drink, have a great time, and meet new people. We even have parties that last all day (daylongs) and a holiday devoted just to drinking (State Patty's Day).
