Very Immersive Classroom - The teachers are quite knowledgeable and are VERY willing to help! They have office hours for you to come in and review your tests and quizzes, or just for when you have questions. They're super helpful, and will do their best to ensure you are successful! The teachers using students for class enactments and explanations of ho things work is not uncommon--some really love to help out bodily/kinesthetic learners! They also are polite and respectful, so you won't have to worry about feeling out of place. They respond to your emails in a timely manner as well, so you're never left hanging.

Overwhelming Resources - ASU is so dedicated to success that they have a branch of support services called First-Year Success Coaching! Your FYS coach is a good reference and helpful tool--they're able to access and send you information that you may not have received, and even send you opportunities for jobs, scholarships, internships, and more! There are financial aid branches, FREE tutoring, (offered by more than just your class--the residence hall may provide it as well!) a health office, (almost like visiting the doctor,) academic advisors, and many others! There is also a class called ASU 101 that you must take your freshman year. It is full of information about the school, who's around to help you, and where you can go if you have a specific problem that needs aiding! ASU gives you all you need to survive college!

Friendly Atmosphere - It can be tough to get through school when you don't get along with anybody. ASU students and faculty are comforting and inviting and are very easy to work with in group projects/sessions! Group work is very collaborative and isn't strenuous because responsibilities for each part of the project are stated up front and contact information is exchanged in case there is an emergency or someone needs help/clarification! It works out very well because the work goes smoothly, everyone isn't frustrated, and the teamwork not only trains you for real-life situations where you'll need to work with somebody in the workforce, but you also earn better grades which is a win-win situation for everyone!

Even though ASU is a huge university, it does not feel that way. This school has a diverse culture, you see it the second you step foot onto the campus. It's not just one type of people that attend ASU. Another would be, how well the community is here, ASU is like its own community and everyone who is there is very happy and helpful to each other. ASU is like its own little city inside a Metropolitan, everything is near by, although not everything is in walking distance, you can get to where you want to go pretty quick.

Anonymous, Student, Arizona State University-Tempe, Class of 2018

The number one reason is our engineering program, the resources that are available to engineers at ASU are unbelievable. Six days a week I can use machines that cost over $10,000 and get help using them, all within a 5 minute walk of my dorm. The second reason is for the community. There are always people hanging out where ever you go and the people are so nice and friendly you can make friends with ease. The third reason is, well, the acceptance rate. ASU has a 96% acceptance rate for high school students who apply to enroll. So, if Stanford won't take you, come to ASU (better value anyways).

Anonymous, Student, Arizona State University-Tempe, Class of 2018

Arizona State is an all around wonderful place! There are so many academic opportunities available to us, and because of that there is never a boring moment. Also, Tempe is a decent sized city, but Phoenix is just minutes away. We can choose between walking around a college campus or being in a large city. To sum it up, there are a lot of options for us academically, there's always something to do, and we have the choice of a college town or life in a big city!

Just like any college is has exceptional classes but not only that but it encourages students to know what is going on in the Government, for example Cass Posshel, the USG President mad it possible for student to lobby a bill containing amensity for college students who call 911 in order to stay safe when they have been drinking. Every Asu student knows "Palm Walk" which has an amazing view of those Arizona Sunsets. Last but not least as students we are always willing to help one another, no one is better than anyone else and attempting attitude always helps the stress and anxiety college can bring with it.

Anonymous, Student, Arizona State University-Tempe, Class of 2018

  1. I may be a little biased on this but I believe that the top benefit of attending ASU is being part of the Barrett Honors College. The courses are engaging and challenging but most of all the sense of community and quality of the people here is incredible. In addition, they offer chances to start working on Law and Medical school credits while still earning your undergraduate degree.
  2. Arizona State University provides opportunities that only a school this size can. ASU is one of the only colleges in the United States that offers Sustainability, or any eco-related majors, as well as genuinely enacting the change they want to see right here on campus. They have multiple internship fairs throughout the year that feature international companies and organizations that make it possible for every field of study to network and find a job.
  3. Location! This is a great central location for students to branch out from. Whether it be volunteering opportunities, going to the capitol, or enjoying the nightlife Tempe not only offers all of these but has easy and quick driving time to places like Scottsdale, Mesa, or Downtown for more of these opportunities.
Anonymous, Student, Arizona State University-Tempe, Class of 2018

There are many reasons as to why someone should attend Arizona State University. One reason is because of the fact that even as a freshman I and many students are able to take courses that are involved with our major rather than just taking general education classes and pre-requisites. Another reason is for the strong student body, with the thousands of students ASU has, they still remain a strong student support whether it be for sporting events or campus involvement events.

Anonymous, Student, Arizona State University-Tempe, Class of 2017

The main reason I would say someone should attend Arizona State University is because there are plenty of things to do on and off campus. I attended the University of Arizona as a freshman and it is honestly my biggest regret to this day. I call it a "regret" but at least I learned that this wasn't the school for me. Other than partaking in outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, etc, there wasn't much to do in Tucson. However, in Tempe, at ASU, the city has tons of things to offer. Another reason to attend this school is because there are a lot of research opportunities offered through various colleges. This encourages undergraduates to learn more and have hands on experience in the field they wish to go into. The final and one of the better reasons, I would say, is the weather. We experience winter for like a month here in Arizona. The rest of the year is just beautiful and sunny; I would describe it as perfect.

Anonymous, Student, Arizona State University-Tempe, Class of 2016

It's very accommodating to your every day life. The instructor's are awesome, and very helpful! I feel like I'm actually learning something, and somebody cares that I am, even if I'm an online student.

Anonymous, Student, Arizona State University-Tempe, Class of 2016

There's the obvious reason why people should attend Arizona State, the weather. It never gets too cold, it never snows, it's always sunny. It perfect all the time. But, then look farther into the school. I attend the largest university in the nation, but yet I can still walk around campus and see familiar faces everywhere I go. I may go to the largest university in the nation, but I'm part of a community of students who make me feel like I go to the smallest university in the nation. Arizona State is my home away from home and that's reason enough to come here. But aside from the perfect weather and the community of students that you become apart of when you come here, our academics can't be beaten. Arizona State has a reputation of accepting everyone, but we have such outstanding academics, I truly feel like I couldn't get a better education anywhere else, there's nothing that compares to this school.

Anonymous, Student, Arizona State University-Tempe, Class of 2017

  1. The immense amount of opportunity to get involved through research, volunteering, internships, and various clubs and organizations.
  2. We are the New American University and we have proven ourselves to be innovative in so many ways whether that be in the classroom or out.
  3. You CANNOT beat going to a school where it feels amazing outside year round. While it can be hot during the summer months, the school year is perfect weather all the time providing a great atmosphere for students all across campus.

Arizona State is overall a great school for anyone to attend. I personally had to leave because of financial reasons, but when I left I realized how much I missed it and wanted to go back. The first reason to attend ASU is we have over 80 different programs for students to chose from, and you are not obligated to find a major and not have the opportunity to leave, it is a very flexible school with great advisors for certain things like that. We have a pretty well known football team, you do not know what school pride is until you are attending a home ASU football game. I would say that the top three reasons why someone should attend ASU are: 1) We have a diverse group of students here and there are a lot of clubs and organizations that you can join to meet new people and explore your interests. 2) Many of the undergraduate and graduate programs here at ASU are highly ranked so you can be sure that you'll be getting a quality education to prepare you for the job market in your field once you graduate. 3) Safety is a big concern for students as well as parents when you're entering college in a different state. ASU along with the Tempe police department have taken many steps to make sure that all of the students here can travel safely between home and classes. The most recent step they've taken is the development of a mobile safety app that allows the Tempe police department to virtually follow your location until you've arrived safely at your destination.

  1. The location. Tempe has loads to do for students and has easy access transportation.
  2. It's ASU's "hub." Tempe campus is the main campus for ASU and has a lot of amenities that the other campuses don't have
  3. The people. Everyone is friendly and open to meeting new people! It makes coming to school here easy and enjoyable.

There're many reasons why people would want to attend ASU. Most out of state students come here because the weather is warm, most in state students attend because it's less expensive then going out of state or to U of A. However, disregarding those reasons here are my three reasons why someone should attend ASU.

  1. It's a school where you can literally pursue ANYTHING and be at the forefront of it, all the while, meeting professionals in whatever field that interests you. Be it business or engineering or even the arts there are so many facilities for students to develop and cultivate their academic interests or personal hobbies.

  2. There's always something to do. While a large number of students live off campus and commute, that doesn't mean that the campus isn't active. Someone moving here for the social life will definitely not be disappointed. Meeting people is easy and finding a club or organization that interests you is only a few clicks away using ASU's OrgSync.

  3. My final reason is that it's the perfect location to make lasting college memories. Whether it's attending a game at Sun Devil stadium or hitting the road with you buddies to go camping in Flagstaff, hiking in Sedona, or spending your spring break in Las Vegas or LA, ASU is at a close enough distance to anything to find a good time.

Sometimes it is very difficult to find a school that fits your schedule, so online schooling is the way to go. Arizona State offers the widest array of accredited online classes that are affordable. So if you are not a traditional student then ASU might be a good choice.

The classes offered online are interesting and diverse. You can take almost all of the same classes online as you can in person, so whatever your degree you won't be stuck with a small assortment of electives.

The coursework is very interesting. The professors and teachers of ASU really seem to enjoy teaching. I have yet to come across a class where the teacher did not seem interested. Many of them take the challenge of teaching an online course seriously and seek technologies that make it fun and interactive for us to learn.

The sunny atmosphere that makes you want to get out and go to the lake or river, or even the outdoor mall. It might be hot here, a lot of the time, but the good thing is that it's located only an hour from cooler areas, and only two-three hours from Flagstaff so you can go to Snowbowl, camping, hiking in Sedona, snowboarding, or rent a cabin in the mountains. It's also only four hours from Las Vegas, and only a two hour plane ride to San Fransisco. The diverse culture that lets you meet friends sometimes life-long from all over the country and all over the world is another very important and awesome reason that someone should go to ASU for school. I've met honestly thousands more people than I ever thought possible when I came to University after Community College. There is such a wide arrange of background that you don't know who you're going to end up meeting, and in all that time, in a classroom, at line at the Memorial Union, at the library, a game, on Mill, or so many other places, you are soaking up various cultures you never thought possible just by getting a degree in school. Finally, the fun school spirit! No one loves our school and our sports teams more than the people that go here, so our 70,000+ amount students is 70,000+ amounts of spirit and excitement radiating through the campus every spirit week and every sports game, no matter what it might be.

It works out very well because the work goes smoothly, everyone isn't frustrated, and the teamwork not only trains you for real-life situations where you'll need to work with somebody in the workforce, but you also earn better grades which is a win-win situation for everyone

The three best things about ASU are: - The people: ASU students and staff are ridiculously friendly. It can seem a bit much at times, but nearly all of them are genuine. It's easy to remain anonymous if you want (with 80,000 students across the four campuses, it's a little hard to get to know everyone!), but if you put yourself out there it's not at all difficult to become an integral part of the community. - The opportunities: ASU is a HUGE part of Tempe, and Phoenix as well. The school is integrated quite closely into the community, and practically every store offers a discount if you're a student. The school has a considerable number of connections, and it's easy to find someone in your field whether you want an internship or simply have questions that need answering. - The weather: this might seem kind of silly, but the weather in Tempe/Phoenix is impossible to beat--unless you're not a fan of 330+ days of sunlight! It definitely gets hot in the summer and the heat lingers through August into September, but it's really not that bad (honestly, you may still want to bring a jacket to class; the air conditioning can be frigid sometimes). There's sunshine all year round, and if it's going to rain you're almost guaranteed a fantastic thunderstorm.
