The type of person that should attend San Diego State is a student that is motivated to well in school. The classes can be competitive in some aspects. Also the students should attend state if they are focused on getting a career right out of college. Each of the majors and program prepare the students for the workforce and have them stand out from the rest. Also anyone who likes be involved, there are over 100 clubs on campus that you are bound to find one that is for you

The type of person future San Diego State students are from high school should be able to work hard because some of the courses offered here are no joke. They should be able to mingle with other students of different diversities because there are a wide range of students from different ethnicity. If you played a sport in high school, that's even better since most of SDSU students are typically active.

Most students at San Diego State are very outgoing. You must know how to balance school work with things like parties and social gatherings. SDSU is a typical southern california environment. Surfers, frat stars, sorority girls, skaters, etc.

A typical Aztec would definitely be outgoing. Our school has a variety of programs, organizations, and events to offer for those who love meeting new people as well as making connections. Someone who plans on attending SDSU should be open to meeting a variety of people especially since our school is so diverse. One of the most intriguing things is meeting all the international students and learning about their cultural perspectives.

I think that the typical person who goes to San Diego State is changing. Originally, the typical high schooler was probably an average student who was looking to come to San Diego State for fun. Now, SDSU has very competitive admissions and the GPA and SAT needed to get in are very high. I would say the typical student was much more of a high achiever in high school these days.
