The type of person to attend University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is a person who is willing to take on challenges. Our school takes pride in academics and freezing while being by Lake Michigan. This school is not a total party school so there is not as much pressure to take part in those types of activities. This person should be willing to join something since there is lots of clubs available, intramural teams to join, and cool activities to do while being in a residents hall.

The students here are very knowledgable and sociable. I imagine that they were the same kind of people in high school. All of the students I associate with are educated, active, and have a great sense of humor. The type of person that should attend University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is someone who is willing to engage in social activities and participate in established groups on campus.

A typical University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student like in high school was the typical high schooler: involved in the school community doing sports or clubs, they are serious and study, but still know how to have fun with friends. the type of person that should attend University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee should be someone that likes the city and the medium sized campus feel. They should also like to be involved and be ready for all the fun-filled activities and events that they have planned. Anyone is welcome at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. We have a high percentage of students from different countries, the highest percentage of these come from South America, Asia, and the Middle East. All different races attend here. The most prominent race is Caucasian, but we are also high in numbers with African Americans and Latinos. The general population is very accepting of those different from them. This university is among one of the greatest LGBT supporting campuses in the nation. To answer the question, "What was a typical University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student like in high school?", is rather hard to pin-point. The school is one of the most diverse in every way that I have ever experienced. Here a visitor who goes into the campus union would be able to find the former class clown, a jock, cheer captain, a geek/nerd, stoner, a genius, the performer, an outsider, a minority, the average bear, a homosexual, and a bum in a matter of a few seconds. My answer to "describe the type of person that should attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee"; literally anyone. There is a place for everyone to fit in and socialize comfortably within people who are different from each other in every way.

While attending University of Wisconsin Milwaukee for 4 years I have meet a lot of people. Through my college experience I have found that one of the best parts about the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is that it is so diverse. Talking to other students about their life stories is always so interesting for me because no to stories are the same. Some people are coming into college right after high school, some are just starting college when they are in their 40's while juggling having a full time job and family, and others are elders who just attend lectures to learn more information. I personally couldn't describe a "typical" University of Wisconsin Milwaukee student because with the diversity it is to hard to generalize the population. This is one factor that drew me to attend this university.

Attending UW-Milwaukee is not just attending classes and then going home afterwards. Being involve is important in the university because it allows you to socialize with people that has the same interests as you and just getting to know the university itself. Being the person that only focuses in school is good but there is more to do out there rather than just focusing in school. I am not saying it is bad to only focus in school but I am saying that being involve in the university is also a good thing.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is one of the most diverse campuses I have ever seen. Every student is different in their own way, which makes it impossible for me to describe a "typical" student, here, at UWM. I believe a core principle that UWM embraces is the term coexist. People from all different backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, and identities find solace at UWM. Here, we work together to research and advance the information of our certain fields in order to inspire knowledge everywhere. No matter where a student came from or how much money they have UWM has many resources and welcomes all. The reason why I attend UWM is because they show me the potential I have to do great things.

Average. Not too smart but not too dumb. Yeah, maybe even slackers. The school acceptance rate isn't high. But I'm sure there are the exceptional ones.
