COMMENT FROM STUDENT: "Hey Ric, I just wanted to let you know that I took my entering placement test over theory today and I knew EVERYTHING on it! I am so thankful for all that you did to help me get where I am! You are such an amazing teacher and I hope to work with you again in the near future. Thank you so much" (D.T. - Berklee College of Music). *** Lesson Details *** I have a quiet and comfortable teaching studio. Many of my students are online. I have a very good online system for teaching and have students worldwide. My basic teaching philosophy is that I teach the student...with the subject. Each student is unique to me. I allow students to send me materials (via email) before each lesson that I review beforehand so I come to the scheduled less time prepared. I also have a recording studio that allows students to "hear" as well as see (if it is on paper) their results. I frequently blog and write articles for other website journals and send out notices to students using various social media. I use various textbooks and other supplemental materials so that a student has materials that gets them from "A" to "Z" in a measured way. *** Studio Equipment *** Finale DAW - Reaper Many other programs used for teaching and recording online. *** Specialties *** All subjects related to the Composing and Production of music.

Noodle says

Takelessons started as a platform to for music teachers, and is still strongest on that front. It provides tutors with organizational software designed to help track lessons, and so probably attracts more tech-friendly, highly organized tutors. No vetting or training is provided for tutors, so we highly recommend that you use their ratings and reviews when selecting a tutor.

TakeLessons says

Success in learning often depends on finding the right teacher; someone that not only has expertise in the subject, but also knows how to inspire. The teaching style that works for one student may not work for another. As a parent or student, how do you find the right match? As a teacher, how do you find new students that fit your style? TakeLessons bridges this gap.
