Sarah P.

I am currently a Graduate student at Roosevelt University. I will be graduating in 3 years with my counseling license in Clinical Professional Psychology. I am still unsure of exactly who I want to work with when I graduate. During my Undergraduate schooling, I helped my classmates individually to understand the lectures and notes that the professors gave. My approach with tutoring is that I want the individual that I am helping to know that we are a team. I want to get to know some things about them, and them to know that "Hey thats Sarah!" I am more of a mentor than a teacher. Also, I let the individual know that there is nothing wrong with them, everyone has flaws. For example, I am not good with college math at all and had to receive tutoring in college calculus. I am good in every other area except Algebra and Calculus, therefore everyone has flaws and needs help sometimes. I like to tell the individual that, and then help them learn ways to study that are effective.Fun Facts: I love to read and I also write. Right now I am trying to learn Spanish. I moved to Chicago from southern Illinois and I am still a little afraid of escalators.

Frog Tutoring says

In 2009, Roland Omene, a TCU bio-chemistry graduate, founded Frog Tutoring. The company originated in Fort Worth, TX, and is quickly expanding to cities all over the country. Frog Tutoring was founded under the belief that all students deserve tutoring regardless of age. We believe the first step in successful tutoring is finding the “right” tutor. That is why we only hire the top students and graduates from local colleges in the area. Each one of our well-trained tutors specializes in at least one area of expertise and is eager to aid in the academic success of the students they tutor. Frog Tutors are not just intelligent individuals, but role models who inspire their students to achieve success both academically and personally. - See more at: http://frogtutoring.com/about_us#sthash.ov47ISCO.dpuf
