I have been tutoring since 2004. Most of the subjects that I have tutored have been in math, science and computer programming. In math, I have tutored from basic math up to and including differential equations. Most of my math tutoring has been in algebra, geometry, precalculus, trigonometry, calculus and statistics. I have also showed students how to use graphing calculators such as the Ti-89. I have also tutored computer science subjects such as C programming along with C++ and Java. The science courses I have helped with include biology, physics and chemistry. I have also helped students with economics. Finally, I have assisted with college writing and other subjects as well as helping with projects. I am a computer science graduate from the University of Massachusetts - Lowell. I am primarily based in the Boston area. Some of my interests include traveling around and sight seeing. Lately, I have seen the leaves change in autumn in the northern states of New England. Some of the activities I have done over the summer include hiking and camping. I have created websites to help students with math. My latest professional achievement is Java certification. I have been doing some Matlab programming lately. I have done a lot of geometry tutoring in the past. Also, I have created geometry webpages for the website freehomeworkmathhelp.com. In addition to having a master's degree in computer science, I have tutored computer science subjects in the past. I received A's in calculus when I took it in school. Recently, I have done a thorough calculus review to meet the demand for calculus tutors. Based on this, I feel that calculus is my strongest subject at the moment. Algebra is one of the subjects that I have tutored most often. I have helped students with factoring, polynomials, linear systems and the quadratic formula.

Noodle says

Tutor Matching Service works with universities to connect students with expertise with students who need help. There tutors are generally low cost (or sometimes even volunteer) tutors who work within their university community. Tutors don't receive vetting or training from Tutor Matching Service, but some individual schools may train or certify their tutors. We'd advise checking the profile of any tutor you're considering using for school certification, ratings, and reviews.

Tutor Matching Service says

Tutor Matching Service was created to increase access to one-on-one education and in doing so promote student success. Tutor Matching Service was originally piloted and financially sponsored by a handful of university tutoring centers (learning centers), career centers, and student governments including IUPUI, Caltech, Purdue, NYU Poly, and Kent State University. At most colleges and universities, there is no tutoring available for upper level chemistry, physics, math, languages, and other courses. College learning centers get frequent phone calls and emails from parents looking for college tutors.
