Alex B.

I recently graduated from San Jose State with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Biomedical Engineering. I have been accepted and will be attending U.C. Berkeley next fall (2014) for a masters in Chemical Engineering as well. My career goal is to become a leader in California for Process Safety Management and or Environmental Health and Safety. I have officially tutored Algebra II, physics and trigonometry. I have also lead group studies in Chemistry (I & II), Organic Chemistry and Circuits. I will first try to ask the student key questions about the subject to find where they are lacking. Then I can ask further questions that attempt to push the student toward the correct path. Finally, if needed I will make up a similar problem and go through it step by step to ensure the student can follow the logic necessary. Depending on the problem I am also versed in multiple methods of solving the problems in case the first method just does not work for the student.Fun Facts: I've got an experiment that will be going up to the International Space Station. I'm originally from Colorado, but a tour in the Marine Corps took me all over the united states. I have worked on the levees in Sacramento, a nuclear power plant in Arizona, and gold mines in Nevada, Mexico and Eastern Turkey.

Frog Tutoring says

In 2009, Roland Omene, a TCU bio-chemistry graduate, founded Frog Tutoring. The company originated in Fort Worth, TX, and is quickly expanding to cities all over the country. Frog Tutoring was founded under the belief that all students deserve tutoring regardless of age. We believe the first step in successful tutoring is finding the “right” tutor. That is why we only hire the top students and graduates from local colleges in the area. Each one of our well-trained tutors specializes in at least one area of expertise and is eager to aid in the academic success of the students they tutor. Frog Tutors are not just intelligent individuals, but role models who inspire their students to achieve success both academically and personally. - See more at: http://frogtutoring.com/about_us#sthash.ov47ISCO.dpuf
