Alexandra F.

I grew up home-schooled, so I am used to one-on-one communication and learning. I was top of my class in community college, graduating with honors in the field of Mathematics. I am currently studying Business Management at Grand Canyon University, hoping to own my own business one day. Although I do not have official tutoring experience, throughout high school and college I would help classmates and friends with their homework, making sure they can succeed in school. I am an assistant instructor at Lake Havasu Black Belt Academy in my hometown of Lake Havasu City, AZ which means I have good communication skills and have been able to teach students of all ages. (toddlers through mature adult.) Although my experience is with martial arts and not education, I feel I can adequately perform tutoring duties. Many students learn differently, although all can be taught something new. My approach is to come to the student believing they can succeed without me, my job is to help make it easier. In my Martial Arts teaching I like to give the students something to show off, where I can see what they are good at and what they need work on. This helps build rapport and trust between us. I am patient and enthusiastic, believing in the student I am working with. Fun Facts: I am a 3rd Degree Black Belt in ATA Taekwondo. I have 10 brothers and sisters. I love reading anything from history to fiction.

Frog Tutoring says

In 2009, Roland Omene, a TCU bio-chemistry graduate, founded Frog Tutoring. The company originated in Fort Worth, TX, and is quickly expanding to cities all over the country. Frog Tutoring was founded under the belief that all students deserve tutoring regardless of age. We believe the first step in successful tutoring is finding the “right” tutor. That is why we only hire the top students and graduates from local colleges in the area. Each one of our well-trained tutors specializes in at least one area of expertise and is eager to aid in the academic success of the students they tutor. Frog Tutors are not just intelligent individuals, but role models who inspire their students to achieve success both academically and personally. - See more at: http://frogtutoring.com/about_us#sthash.ov47ISCO.dpuf
