In 2004, I graduated from Catawba College in North Carolina with my Bachelos Degree in Business Administration with a 3.4 GPA. In 2007, I have obtained my Masters Degree in Business Administration with a 3.3 GPA from Elon University in North Carolina. I am currently pursing my PhD in International Studies at the University of Miami maintaining a 3.5 GPA. My goal is to become a Professor at the University of Miami or another university, preferably in South Florida. As part of my scholarship, I am currently working on some publications in addition to my dissertation. I tutored Elementary and Middle School students while I was a high school student in various subjects such as English, German, Math and Latin. While obtaining my Bachelors Degree in college, I also served as a Peer Tutor at the Academic Resource Center tutoring subjects such as German, French and Spanish. After starting my Masters Degree, I tutored college students as well in German. Since starting my PhD, I have been serving as a Teaching Assistant for Social Studies which includes tutoring, mentoring and advising students. While I was in high school, I started realizing that some of our teachers were very smart, but they could not break the material down to the basics to some students. This was my motivation for becoming a tutor, as my peer students would ask me to explain things to them, because I was able to break it down to any level according to the student I was helping - complete beginner, intermediate, advanced etc. Now that I have gone all the way to the PhD level, I have never changed this approach and I never will, because every learner is different and I have the ability and skills to adjust to whatever level they are on.Fun Facts: I played basketball in college and semi-pro after graduation in Germany and Florida. In my free-time, I also enjoly salsa dancing. I love spending time at the ocean and on the beach as well.
